Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’ve always done some form of fitness on and off, and tried several times over theyears to become a runner. In July of 2013 I decided to give it one more try, inspired by my friend Christina who lost over 60 pounds and ran a half marathon. I thought….if she can do it, I can, too! This time, I started using interval running. I found that after I got through the first few weeks, it got easier, and I started to enjoy it more. After running a 10k as my first race, I was hooked, and signed up for a half marathon. I completed my first half marathon on Thanksgiving day (the Atlanta Half Marathon), 2013 with an official time of 2:43:41. In 2014, I committed to running more half marathons, and I have finished more than a half of a dozen now! In March of 2015, I ran my first full marathon and loved the training and challenge of the distance.
I’m going to be running more races, and I’ll explore the Atlanta running community as I train! I started this blog to track my progress.
When I’m not running, you can find me at my day job at a major CPG company. Whenever I get downtime, you can find me cuddling with my Golden Retriever/Lab mix rescue dog Skipper, or exploring fun things to do with my boyfriend of over a decade, Brian.
