It’s that time again!! Here are three things I’m loving this week:
1. Running at the Chattahoochee River. It’s a popular spot here in Atlanta among runners, but I didn’t actually check it out until Marathon Training. I love running here because it’s so relaxing, and it’s FLAT, which is rare to find in Atlanta. Also, it’s easy to get 8 miles with one out-and-back, and it’s shaded which I think will help in the summer. I’ll be meeting Amanda and Sarah here for our long run in the morning! It is also a great place for a walk and I think I’ll be bringing Skipper here some on the weekends this summer.
2. Nathan HandHeld Water Bottle. Speaking of summer, the hot temperatures are here, and that means hydration becomes even more important. When I was marathon training, I tried the fuelbelt. I loved the fuelbelt, but I found that on longer runs it constricted my stomach too much and caused reflux (I have GERD). I switched to this bottle at Christina’s recommendation and I really like it. It is insulated and holds 18 oz of liquid. It’s easy to carry and I love the little pouch on the front – it’s perfect for my fuel.
3. CL by Chinese Laundry Marcie Wedge Pump. Since I run in the morning, I try to take it easy on my feet during the day. I actually discovered these shoes when I was recovering from Achilles Tendinitis last year. These are the most comfortable dress shoes I own. They have a very slight wedge heel which takes the strain off of your Achilles, but the toe box is wide enough that I don’t feel like my feet are jammed into them. I have these in black and nude. Bonus: they’re really inexpensive!!
Have a great weekend everyone!
