Hotlanta Half Training – Week 5

This will be a short post this week, because there isn’t much to talk about!

Monday I had a great 4 mile run followed by some strength training.  I took a hilly route to really get some extra work in and it was a great run!

Tuesday was a travel day and a planned rest day.  I was feeling super run down Tuesday night so I decided to sleep in Wednesday.  I’m glad I did – I woke up with a sore throat which has evolved into a pretty severe spring cold.  I finally have some energy back, but the cold has moved into my chest so I’m still not running, which sucks since I finally have the desire!

I’m hoping to spend some time on the stationary bike today or tomorrow and start getting back into running next week.  I’ll be in Miami for a work conference, which will include very long days….so I’m just going to need to listen to my body and do what I can.  I’m a little stressed about missing so much time but…what can you do?

In other news, our pool is open so I’ve been working on my base tan for vacation while resting.  Only 13 days until Punta Cana!
