NYC Marathon Training Week 7

As a reminder, I’m running the NYC Marathon for Fred’s Team, and am working towards hitting a huge fundraising goal to support cancer research! I am blogging about my NYC Marathon Training throughout this process.  You can click here to read more and make a donation.

This will be another short recap, as I’m still in my crazy period at work, and I just don’t want to look at the computer any more than I have to!

Another week in the books! This week was another challenging one at work, but the light is at the end of the tunnel.  In a couple of weeks I’ll be starting my new job, so I just have to push through this transition period.

I ran 25 miles this week and did one day of barre.  My long run this weekend was 13 miles and it was truthfully the most relaxing part of my week! The weather has broken a bit here and it’s been in the low 70s/upper 60s with humidity still high, but less than 100%.  One day this week was only 64 degrees for my run, which made me want to cry of happiness!!

64 degrees and all smiles

There was a cool breeze Saturday morning and it really made such a difference.  I felt pretty good about this week especially given the craziness I’ve been going through at work.

Saturday night Brian and I went to check out the new Falcons stadium.  IT.  WAS.  AWESOME.

Seriously – the photos don’t do it justice, but I’ll leave these here to try.

I didn’t work on fundraising at all last week, but this week will be a BIG one as I finish up my big event with Shine Hair Parlor!! I will be cutting off my hair on Thursday night and I can’t wait! Make sure to follow me on Instagram for before/after photos!

How was your week? Don’t forget to link up below!

  1. Glad to see your recap! I can’t wait to get back to barre…it’s going to leave me so sore though 🙂

Looking forward to seeing your new haircut!

  2. That stadium does look pretty nice! Our son was a huge Falcons fan when he was younger…not sure how he developed that interest because we’re in Iowa and don’t have any NFL teams close by LOL
